Free antivirus
As I said in my very first post, never use a Windows based computer without an antivirus software installed and kept up-to-date.
In the last four years I used only Grisoft products, starting with AVG 6.
It had some bugs, but nothing I couldn’t live with. Compared to Symantec’s product, it was less buggy. And the resources it used were less than the competitors.
Next versions, 7.0 and 7.5 , represented a big step forward, showing a mature software. This year version 8.0 was released, with an improved interface and a very helpful new tool – AVG Search-Shield.
The installation process is straightforward, so there’s not so much to say about it. Here you have the whole procedure in images.
